Review and approve an estimate

Check the project, amount, delivery details, and comments before recording a decision.

    Approve Record the decision

When an estimate is ready, a Client admin can review it inside the project page, ask questions in the estimate dialog, and approve it without leaving Link.

Only approve when the scope, dates, and amount agree.

Approval is a project decision. If anything is unclear, add a comment or contact the company before selecting Approve estimate.

Who can approve

The estimate approval action is available to a Client admin when the project is in the estimate-sent stage. Client users can review the project material they can access but cannot approve estimates.

If you are expected to approve and do not see the action, ask the company to confirm your Client admin role and the project status.

Keep the exact Link with the conversation.

It helps the company identify the workspace, project, and page you are asking about.

Step 1

Review before approval

Open the estimate from the project page and compare it with the surrounding project information.

  • Confirm the project and client names.
  • Read the current scope and note anything explicitly excluded.
  • Check the start date, delivery date, and any milestones that affect the price.
  • Check the amount and currency or price format.
  • Read existing estimate comments before adding a new question.

Step 2

Ask a question before deciding

Use the estimate comment field for a question that should stay with the estimate. Keep one question focused on one issue so the company can answer clearly.

A comment does not approve or reject the estimate. Return after the question is resolved and review the current amount and project details again.

Step 3

Approve the estimate

Select Approve estimate only when you are ready to record the decision. Link marks the estimate as approved and the company can see the updated project status in its connected workflow.

After approval, use the project page for the active work. If the scope or price later changes, ask the company to explain how the revision will be recorded rather than treating the earlier approval as open-ended.

If you cannot approve

Refresh the project and confirm you are signed in with the invited Client admin email. The approval action may be unavailable if the estimate has not been sent, is already approved, or your role does not include approval.

Send the company the project Link and describe what you see. Never send your sign-in code or ask another person to approve from your account.
